Madalitso Wits Sports Academy

Madalitso Wits Sports Academy was formed on the 13th March 1994 by founder, Brian Phiri in the town Twapia of Ndola, Zambia.

Originally our organisation was called Super Stars FC and has since had a few names including Ckphico Stars, Sharp Wits Academy and was finally changed to Madalitso Wits Academy in 2011. Madalitso means blessings, as of which we have received many. Wits it’s the style of football we play.

We have felt the hand of God on our team since this organisations origin, and we have been connected in prayer since 2010 with Chiparamba Breakthrough Academy, which has brought joy and smiles to us all. In 2010 our team went to Lusaka, the capital of Zambia, to compete in the Germany cup and finished in 3rd place.

Luke chapter 1 verse 37 – “For no word from God will ever fail”, has been our encouragement to stay strong for all of these years. We believe that one day ‘we will be there’ (this is our motto). With God on our side we will reach far, we will reach Europe as a team, and our team will partner with some big organisations so that our community in Twapia benefits by the members of our organisation. Our dream is to produce players to play against teams in Europe and to have connections to teams in England.

Our aims and objectives:
- To encourage youths to interact among themselves using the
medium of sport.
- To encourage youths to participate in sporting activities of
their choice.
- To encourage youths to take responsibility for the
communities that they come from by engaging in community
service that enhances the quality of their livelihoods.
- To provide sustainable infrastructure (social hub).
- To provide Education/Academic sponsorship for vulnerable
youths, hardworking youths and those who have interest in
education.
- To promote skills-transfer (entrepreneurship, sport, life-skills,
financial literacy, etc).
- To promote gender equality and capacity build girls to
become leaders.
- Promote physical health and safe places (including HIV-Aids
and violence/crime free environments).
- To build and support partnership and networking, locally,
regionally and internationally that will enhance and sustain
the program.
- To educate on health and hygiene matters.
- To encourage one another with the word of God.

Blessings

Madalitso Wits.
