God's grace woven through our stories

Kamafwesa Pentecostal Holiness Church
The church was founded in 1998 by Elder Sinyinza, a missionary worker, together with Pr Phiri in Kaloko
and has been documented and registered under the laws of the republic of Zambia.
The idea for starting the church in this area, Kamafwesa, in Chief Mushili Area, was to ensure that the
people are catered for in receiving the word of God, reaching the unreached and brining more souls to
Christ.
It has a church board that manages the affairs of the members and has the running constitution that
guides the running of the church. Membership dwindles between 50 and a 100 people due to the fact
that most members or residents of the area are farmers.
The objective of the church is to preach the word of God to the surrounding areas.
The future projections of the church includes the following:
1. The challenge we have to start with is that of transport for the pastor to travel to and from
church from his home in Kaloko. Our aim is to acquire a motor bike to ease the travelling
expenses and difficulties for the pastor. This will as well enhance the visitations of members as
most live in remote and distant areas
2. We have currently acquired or hired a small land where we have planted sweet potatoes with
view of selling them and the returns to help rebuild the church. The current state of the church
is not in good order and there is need for expansion or rebuilding. The returns from the sale will
add to the progressive fundraised money
3. Transport is a major issue especially when one of our members falls ill. If there is a blessing of a
van in future, God willing, it will aid in facilitating the transportation of patients. It is one of the
major challenges and we hope to work through it.
4. Computer: Most of our records are manually done and record keeping is another challenge that
we have. A computer or lap top is a necessity for typing church minutes, keeping records and
aiding in printing church programs. It will be essential if we attain this for our secretary and is an
essential need.
5. We hope as we expand the church to also increase the efforts in reaching out to near by
communities to increase on membership but as well, to reach the so many unreached and the
untouched.
Our overriding verse springs from Mathew 28:16-20, The Great Commission:
Then the eleven disciples went to Galilee, to the mountain where Jesus had told them
to go. When they saw him, they worshiped him; but some doubted. Then Jesus came
to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to
me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the
Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I
have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”
